Quality & Safety

Upholding Standards

Maintaining standards is at the very heart of our business. This is true of both the services we supply and the means in which we deliver them. We know that quality and safety are paramount concerns for our clients too, and we adhere to the strictest principles of care in our everyday activities. At the same time, we are very aware that industry does not stand still, and we are dedicated to the continuous training and upskilling of our team. This means we can confidently deliver on our promise to you by guaranteeing standards you can trust.

Quality

Bonner has been ISO 9001 certified since 1994, and we have advanced to ISO 9001:2015 level. Our Quality Policy enshrines our commitment to comply with all customer and regulatory requirements and is reinforced by our robust Quality Management System. The test equipment we use is ISO 17025 certified and accredited by INAB, UKAS and DKD, along with other relevant international bodies. We are routinely audited by the NSAI, and all the work we carry out for our clients conforms to the highest industry standards as prescribed by FDA, HPRA, Bord Bia, BRC and FSAI codes of practice.

Quality is always to the forefront of our agenda, and we source and install the most appropriate solutions to enhance regulatory compliance. For instance, the Testo Saveris system, which we regularly specify for clients, conforms to 21 CFR Part 11 of the FDA regulations regarding data integrity. What’s more, ProCalV5, our calibration management software, creates an auditable data trail – a must for thorough compliance and effective reporting.

Our processes are equally focused on quality assurance. For example, we apply ISA 5.1-2009 guidelines to the tagging of all instrumentation under our Commissioning and Control Solutions services. We also implement this standard as part of our Instrumentation Analysis service for clients who do not operate consistent tagging systems.

Safety

Safety is a critical component of how we conduct our operations, and we have been a NISO member for over 10 years. On joining our team, all new staff are taken through a comprehensive induction process. Central to this is instruction on our Safety Statement which details measures for risk assessments and accident reporting, including near misses and notifiable incidents.

Every member of our technical team holds a valid Safe Pass for work on client sites and is trained in Manual Handling, MEWP and ATEX awareness. When required, we can also provide for staff certification in Confined Space and Gowning procedures. Before beginning work on site with any of our customers, we ensure that our team participates in all client-specific induction and safety briefings.

Training

In addition to safety training, all members of the Bonner team have access to company-sponsored further education and development under the QQI/NFQ system (formerly FETAC). We also facilitate several ISA, Engineers Ireland and NIBRT approved courses through the company, enabling our employees to progress their expertise and to achieve new qualifications. We understand that training benefits our staff, our customers and our business, and we actively promote professional development across our organisation.
